This bracket simply fits in your transom shield with the 1/2" pin provided and the out-drive lowers and locks on to the other end of the bracket.

There is absolutely no way for the drive to fall against the lifting ram and damage the gears in it.

Zinc plated steel for long life and corrosion resistance.
